Nonomiya Shrine

Nonomiya Shrine (野宮神社) enshrines deities of good match, children and learning, and women pray for love. It's a popular shrine. It is also the setting of the chapters of The Tale of Genji and Sakaki Volume (賢木の巻), and was selected as Itsukinomiya(斎宮) during the Heian period. It is said that the princess purified herself for a year before going to Ise Shrine. There is a sacred stone in the precincts, and it is said that if you stroke it with prayer, your wish will come true within a year.

In the middle of the picture is the sacred stone (Kame-ishi) that is said to make your wish come true.
