Kyoto Imperial Gardens

Kyoto Gyoen(京都御苑) has 1300m north-south and 700m east-west sites, and was the place where the Emperor lived. In the Meiji era, there were the Imperial Palace, the Sento Imperial Palace, and the Omiya Imperial Palace, which were the Imperial Palace until the capital moved to Tokyo. After the capital moved to Tokyo, the area except the Imperial Palace was maintained as a park and is popular with the people of Kyoto. Currently, the Kyoto Imperial Palace can be visited all year round without prior application. Prior application is required for Omiya Imperial Palace and Sento Imperial Palace.

[By Subway] About 5 minutes on foot from subway Karasuma line “Marutamachi Station”, “Imadegawa Station” .
[By Bus] About 5 minutes on foot from “Karasuma Marutamachi”, “Karasuma Imadegawa” and “Furitsu Idai Byoin mae”.
