Kyoto Railway Museum

The Kyoto Railway Museum (Kyoho Honzō Chūkan) is about a 20 minute walk from Kyoto Station. The Umekoji Steam Locomotive Museum, which was originally a railway museum specializing in steam locomotives, was renovated and reopened as the Kyoto Railway Museum in 2016. You can also experience a steam locomotive with the steam locomotive that is 500 meters one way and 1 kilometer round trip. (Paid) I think not only children but also adults who like trains can enjoy the facility very much.

A nostalgic steam locomotive was also on display.
You can see the Shinkansen and Toji Temple from the Railway Museum.
