Toji Temple

Toji(東寺), also called Kyoougogokokuji(教王護国寺), was built to protect Heiankyo and was given to Emperor Saga to Kukai and designated as a National Historic Site in 1934. .. Registered as a World Heritage Site in 1994. It is very popular as a representative sightseeing spot in Kyoto, and on the 21st of every month, Kobo Market is open and a local fair called “Kobosan” is held locally, and many people visit it. Cherry blossoms are lit up in spring and autumn leaves are lit up in autumn.
