Mimurotoji Temple

Mimurotoji Temple

The existing hall was rebuilt in 1814 during the late Edo period. The garden is large, measuring 5000 tsubo (3.3 square meters), and has a dry landscape garden and a garden with a path around a central pond. The temple is also known as the Temple of Flowers, with about 20,000 azaleas and 1000 rhododendrons in spring, about 10,000 hydrangeas in early summer June, and lotus flowers in July. It is also called Flower Temple.
