Okazaki Park

Okazaki Park (岡崎公園) is the site where six great temples, including Hossho-ji Temple and Rokusho-ji Temple, were built during the Heian period. The precincts of Heian Shrine were constructed in 1895 after the 1100 year anniversary of the relocation of the capital to Heian-kyo and the fourth National Industrial Exhibition was held, and the Kyoto Municipal Zoo, Kyoto Prefectural Library and Museum of Art are located in the area.

There are shops such as Tsutaya bookstore and Starbucks next to Okazaki park.
