Tofukuji Temple was prefected in 1239 by the Kujō Dōke, who requested that the temple be built as a family temple of the Kujō family, and the Buddhist temple was prefected in 1239. It burned down in the first half of the 14th century, but was rebuilt in the first half of the 15th century, and in 1881 a fire destroyed the Buddhist temple and the dharma hall. Burned down. The San-mon Gate is the oldest surviving San-mon Gate, completed in 1405 after the original building was destroyed by fire. Tofukuji Temple is also famous for its autumnal foliage, and its Tsutenkyo Bridge is often featured on the local news because of the heavy traffic jam during the fall color season.
