Jikkoin Temple (実光院) was founded as one of the priests' living quarters of Shorin-in Temple. Kyakuden was built in 1921. The garden on the south side of the reception hall is called the Keishinen Garden (契心園). It was built in the late Edo period, and you can enjoy the garden while drinking matcha and tea sweets included in the admission fee. The garden on the west side is a Chisen Kaiyu style garden where you can enjoy walking outside. In the garden, there is a cherry tree that is over 100 years old in October, called Fudan-zakura(不断桜), which blooms in early October. Autumn blooms in the middle of November, flowers bloom slightly in winter, and spring blooms in early April. It is a mysterious variety that blooms continuously from October to April of the following year.
